AI & Web3: The Future of Work – What’s at Stake?

As AI and Web3 evolve rapidly, we’re standing at the edge of one of the biggest workforce transformations in history. Here’s how I see it playing out across three crucial dimensions:

1.     JOBS MOST AT RISK IN THE NEXT 10–20 YEARS
The rise of AI and automation will disproportionately affect roles that are predictable, repetitive, or rule-based. Here’s a breakdown to make this more relatable:

·  Clerical & Admin Roles (Data entry operators, Executive assistants, Office receptionists)
·  Customer Service & Support (Call center agents, Chat/email support reps, Tier-1 technical support)
·  Retail & Sales (Cashiers, Inventory clerks, Telemarketers, In-store sales associates)
·  Media & Content (Entry-level copywriters, Basic video editors, Junior social media managers)
·  Transport & Delivery (Truck drivers, Local delivery workers, Warehouse pickers)
·  Finance & Legal (Bookkeepers, Payroll clerks, Paralegals, Loan officers)
·  Junior Tech Roles (Basic web developers, Manual QA testers, IT helpdesk support)

If your daily tasks follow templates, scripts, or checklists, those are the first to be automated. But this isn’t about fear, it’s about readiness. The roles may go, but the people can adapt.

2.     JOBS STILL SAFE (FOR THE NEXT 50 YEARS)
These roles rely on deeply human strengths: empathy, creativity, judgment, and physical adaptability.

·  Healthcare professionals (doctors, therapists, surgeons)
·  Creative visionaries (filmmakers, designers, product thinkers)
·  Skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters)
·  Senior engineers & researchers (those building AI and Web3)
·  Leaders and strategists (abstract thinkers who connect dots across domains)
·  Tech will assist these professionals, but may not replace them.

3.     HOW TO STAY RELEVANT IF YOUR ROLE IS AT RISK
If you see yourself in Section 1, here’s what you can start doing now:

· Learn to work with AI – Master tools like ChatGPT, automation platforms, and prompt engineering.
·  Understand Web3 basics – Decentralized identity, smart contracts, blockchain literacy.
·  Invest in soft skills – Communication, problem-solving, emotional intelligence.
·  Reskill intentionally – UX, no-code tools, digital strategy, community building, ethical tech.
·  Build your personal brand – Trust and visibility are your currency in a digital-first world.

Many jobs will change, some will disappear, but humans who evolve will stay in the game. Stay curious, stay adaptable, and don’t wait for permission to start learning.

Would love to hear: What skills are you betting on for the future? What are you doing today to future-proof your skills?

People call me aggressive, people think I am intimidating, People say that I am a hard nut to crack. But I guess people young or old do like hard nuts -- Isnt It? :-)
