1. Sandwiching
- Never start your meal with grains (rice/roti): Start with salads → dals/vegetables → grains → sweet (if needed) → end again with savory.
2. Pre-empting
- Have a naturally sweet fruit in the morning (banana if sugars are fine, apple if you need lower glycemic). A smoothie works even better. This reduces cravings during the day.
3. Pacifying
- After meals, if you must have something sweet try 1 date with 2 almonds. It calms taste buds without pushing you back into craving cycles.
4. Khecharing
- Touch the tip of your tongue to your upper palate. Say (and feel) - I have control. I have control. Do this for 30–60 seconds, 7–8 times a day.
