Less food doesn’t always mean less sugar. This is one of the most confusing Diabetes experiences - “I barely ate… so why are my sugars high?”
Here’s why it happens. The liver releases stored glucose when
- meals are skipped
- stress levels are high
- sleep is poor
- the body feels “starved”
- regular meal timing
- balanced food portions
- a short walk after meals
- strength training to improve insulin action
- better sleep habits
