I often repeat this line to women between 35 and 55 who come to me for
consultation confused about why their body is no longer responding the way it
used to.
Your body is not the problem.... The problem is that you are measuring the wrong things.
Here are 3 things worth tracking (not guessing)
1. Fat metabolism (blood markers)
Fat metabolism quietly decides whether your body will burn fat or store it. And
it leaves clear signs in your blood reports.
Lipid profile: Triglycerides ÷ HDL
→ Higher ratio = poor fat burning
Liver tests: SGPT / SGOT > 1
→ Fatty liver in the making
Once these internal ratios start correcting, fat loss becomes natural. Supporting the liver, reducing excess oil at home, and keeping thyroid levels
closer to 1 or 2 can make a visible difference not in days, but steadily,
safely.
2. Muscle–fat balance
Another thing most women overlook is muscle. I see many women afraid of
strength training, thinking it is unnecessary or “not for them.” But muscle is
what protects your metabolism as you age.
When muscle reduces and fat increases, especially around the trunk, the body
becomes tired and resistant. Even two days of light muscle training and
adequate protein can slowly change how your body feels and functions.
3. Energy source (this is where many slip)
Many women wake up exhausted and push themselves through the day with tea,
coffee, sugar, refined snacks, and sometimes alcohol in the evening. This is borrowed energy. It gives a short lift and then deeper fatigue,
stronger cravings, and more fat storage.
Real energy comes from inside from Balanced Nutrition, Healthy Hormones, and
adequate Vitamin D.
When internal energy improves, the constant hunger and sweet cravings naturally
settle down.
One more thing I always say, especially to women in this age group don’t wait
for someone else to take charge of your health. Check your reports. Understand
your body. Be independent. When you start respecting your numbers, your body starts respecting you back.
