Overeating Vs Exercise

A Heavy meal won’t make you fat. Panic will....

A lot of people, at different times of the year, end up eating heavy meals functions, travel, weekends, celebrations.

And then the fear starts - “Now I’ve eaten too much… will my weight increase? What should I do?”

The most important thing at this time don’t increase your exercise.

Many people think, “I ate more yesterday, so today I’ll walk for one hour extra.”

That’s actually the wrong move. Let me explain why....

When we suddenly eat a lot say 1000 to 1500 extra calories the body increases insulin and digestive secretions temporarily.

This is just to absorb that food.

Once the calories are absorbed, insulin levels normalize within 24–48 hours,
as long as we don’t keep overeating.

But when we over-exercise the next day, hunger increases, We eat again.
Insulin and acid levels rise again.

If this cycle continues for 3–5 days, and during this time we get used to salty, oily, sugary foods, the body starts creating a pattern.

Hormones begin to get secreted even without real hunger. That’s how insulin resistance slowly starts.

To break this cycle, after a heavy meal
→ Eat simple home food the next day
→ Eat a little less
→ Allow hunger to normalize

Your body is smart. It can burn the extra calories and weight within two days.

The real focus should not be punishment. The focus should be normalizing appetite.
