I spent my 30s carrying weight I didn't need to. Here are three simple hacks I hold onto today ones that have given me immense clarity and relief.
1. Forgive more than you think you should.
I let go of a lot of things I once held against my parents. With time, I
realized they did the best they could in an economy, culture, and environment
completely different from ours. None of it was personal. It was just life exposing the gaps I hadn't filled
yet. Once you drop the victim mindset, the world feels lighter. You start seeing the
traps before they arrive and you smile.
2. Plan B is where most people live.
Nobody gets Plan A. Nobody gets everything they want. The people who look graceful are simply the ones who’ve learnt to accept Plan B
with dignity and make it look like that was the plan all along.
Showing up is the only real plan we control. The rest… life decides.
3. Joy has to be now.
In the second half of life, energy becomes finite. So I’ve started squeezing
joy out of everything a trek, a run, a small adventure, a moment with nature,
anything that fits within my bandwidth and responsibilities.
It makes life richer, fuller, more alive. If these three hacks help even one person reading this, I’ll be glad.
