Diabetes outside India: Challenges

Three challenges Indian diabetics face while living abroad. I see this often with Indians settled outside India. It’s not because they aren’t disciplined or don’t care, but because the system isn’t built for them.

Challenge #1: Access & Wait Times
↳ Getting a doctor’s appointment takes weeks, sometimes months. By the time you get an appointment, sugars have already worsened.

Challenge #2: Incomplete Testing
↳ Key tests are often missing
 → insulin resistance
 → micronutrient deficiencies
 → metabolic flexibility

Treatment starts without understanding why diabetes progressed.

Challenge #3: The Insulin Pathway
↳ Most patients get stuck in the same loop:
Metformin → SGLT2 → “Next step is insulin.”

No real conversation about reversal., No personalized food or lifestyle strategy.

Here’s what many don’t realize. You don’t need new medicines. You need strategic changes.

The same molecules you’re already prescribed can be used intelligently, along with
 ↳ Indian-style diet
↳ Easy exercise that fits your routine
 ↳ Daily metabolic tracking
 ↳ Year-round medical supervision

Small, consistent changes can make a big difference.
