Still taking 2 protein shakes a day? Read this....
A lot of people have started taking two protein shakes a day not for nutrition,
but to avoid feeling hungry. You go to the gym… 2–3 hours later you feel hungry. And instead of eating real food, you take another protein shake thinking - “At least I won’t reach for snacks or a pastry.”
But the fact is → a protein shake is not meant to suppress hunger. It’s meant to fill a nutritional gap, especially if you're vegetarian or not
getting enough protein to hit your daily requirement.
When you use the second shake just to avoid eating, you’re not fixing the
issue. You’re just delaying the hunger. Because most hunger is not always about calories. Sometimes you’re low on
- Vitamins
- Minerals
- Salt
- Electrolytes
- Overall real nutrients
So, when your body needed something as simple as Nimbu paani(Fresh lemon water) with salt, you gave
it another 25g of protein instead. No wonder the hunger comes back again… and again.
The body wasn’t asking for more protein. It was asking for nutrients. Listen to your body. Next time you’re hungry after a workout, reach for electrolytes or real food
first... that’s it.
