Don't wait for a Health Report to tell you that your life and body needs Healthier Habits. Early in my career, work meant long hours and back-to-back meetings. But I never let exercise, food, or movement slide indefinitely even when things got busy.
That instinct has only sharpened over the years, watching people putting their health on hold. Not from a lack of care. Usually, they just didn't clock how much the daily grind sitting for hours,
rushed meals, broken sleep, constant stress was quietly reshaping their
metabolic health.
An annual check-up can tell someone their blood sugar or blood pressure has
shifted. It won't tell them what to actually do about it.
A few things I've seen actually move the needle, long before any report flags a
problem
- A 10–20 minute walk after meals - it does more for blood sugar than people expect
- Standing or moving for 2 minutes every hour - Offsets some of the effects of prolonged sitting
- Treating sleep as non-negotiable, not the first thing sacrificed
